Don Summerville Queen St. East Condo Hoarding
layout design execution for community residents and context condo development
2021
the tales and memories told by the residents of this (past) community are presented in a story-like layout set abound the perimeter of a place they once called home. i believe there is a collective submission to development happening en masse. in this development i hope to see spaces change for the better. what happens to a displaced community?– will it too redevelop?– and how long is this process? are our future developments designing spaces around the needs of a community or the needs of a consumer culture? what is a living room without anything living?
